Samurai Jack

An ancient samurai warrior wielding an enchanted sword who battles the evil,
shape-shifting master Aku, only to be catapulted into the future via a magic
time portal where he must battle robots, henchmen of Aku, and bounty hunters
of the near and far future, all to discover a way back through time to face Aku
and deal the killing blow once and for all.

What more could you want in a TV show?

If that is the question you would ask, because I certainly did, then I am here
to tell you that the amazing Samurai Jack does still lack at least one essential
component which could efficiently recreate it into an even more amazing show:
the lack of violence. One might not think this would be a problem,
but after watching the show, one would discover that there is zero blood spilt
throughout its entirety. Jack somehow manages to defeat his humanoid opponents
every time without even using a single swipe of his blade.

As disappointing as
this is, it is not surprising due to the almost certain uproar of disapproval
from parental units the station would likely receive. Although the show in its
entirety is pretty cool, I am forced to give Samurai Jack 4 out of 5 exclamation
points on the sweetcripes.com rating scale of awesomeness, if only for its lack
of blood-shed.

Samurai Jack is on Cartoon Network.
