A 52-year-old man was arrested Thursday after he mowed down several dozen pedestrians in his 1986 Chevy pick-up truck. When asked why he went on such a brutal rampage with seemingly no remorse for his actions, the man told police that video games made him do it.

Later the man said he had scored somewhere in the neighborhood of 8,000 points - but lost count when the cops started chasing him.

“Until we have investigated this case further,” said Police Chief Dale Dohknut in a press meeting yesterday, “we won’t know if those figures are accurate.”

This tragic event is the latest in a string of violent incidents which have put the media at fault in the eyes of parents and other responsible adults everywhere.
